After the battle with Team Rocket, Red saw a poster of a tournament in dojo, Red joins the tournament and it was the knockout tournament, in the first round red defeats a Machop

Then after some matches he reaches the final round

Red said, these matches are too easy

Dojo master said, now this match is not easy go Hitmonlee

Red sends Pikachu, Hitmonlee uses jump kick

Pikachu get critical hit

Red said, you can do it use thunder

Hitmonlee fainted

Red wins the tournament and then he goes ahead
